covid-19 policy

When the Covid-19 pandemic began, we had no idea how long it would last or what the outcome would be for our local area. In many ways, we have seen God’s grace through the trial.

We have reached more people than we have ever reached through social media and digital platforms. We have connected with leaders through technology. We have stretched our mentality about how church should and can be done. Through it all, God has added to our war chest many things that will never be lost. We will never be the same!

After Governor Kay Ivey’s May announcement we are happy to announce that Connect's doors are open for worship! Please continue to read below for some of the areas that will be a little different for Connect Church.

Several things we know:
-Not everyone will feel comfortable coming to church, and that’s okay. We will still have a “church at home” service available as we have through this entire pandemic.

-We will take EVERY precaution with sanitation.

-We will do our best to follow social distancing protocols. And we ask that you respectfully do so as well.

Below are safety guidelines for Connect services:

  1. If you are sick or have symptoms, please join us online. If you are in a vulnerable health situation, we look forward to you joining us in forthcoming phases. We will have a thermometer at the entrance and check temperatures of everyone entering the building as well as sanitizer.

  2. Masks are recommended for attendees (please bring your own) and we ask that you continue to practice social distancing, which means no physical contact (hugs/handshakes etc) with anyone outside your immediate family.

  3. Doors will open at 1:15PM for seating. Only scheduled LinkedTeam members will be allowed in before service. We ask that you remain in your vehicles and continue to practice social distance as you enter.

  4. Seating will be every other row with no more than 4 people to a row (restricted to those of the same household per row). Expect to sit in the first available position based on incoming order. Ushers will be available for assistance.

  5. Once seated, please remain there. We ask that you limit yourself and family to the sanctuary and the restrooms, as all other areas will be closed off.

  6. Paper, pens, envelopes and other sharables will not be available. Offering will be received and we ask you to continue utilizing electronic methods at this time.

  7. Hospitality and gatherings normally held in the resource room are still prohibited at this time. Kids Connect is returning soon! More info here. Your children are welcome to attend and sit with you, encourage them to remain with you at all times.

  8. Supplies will be provided in every restroom to enable you to sanitize before/after use. As normal, restrooms will be cleaned before and after service. The restrooms will be limited to 2 people at a time and utilization of just one stall (one person in stall, one person washing hand or waiting to use stall).

  9. Once service concludes, we ask that you promptly exit but do so with patience as we practice social distancing with 6 feet between families. Ushers will be available for assistance.

  10. Once outside, please continue to maintain social distancing, remaining 6ft away from those not in your household.

Thank you so much for being the best church in the world, for supporting the leadership of our church, and for keeping us lifted up in prayer. We are here to serve you and Jesus to the best of our abilities.

We look forward to seeing you at Connect!
